Called and ask for a quote in October. They were very fast to come out and take a look. They never sent us a quote as... requested after they left. After 5 months of waiting and 4 phone calls, we got every excuse given to us ie. they had an incorrect email, they misplaced our measurements etc.Finally they arranged to have someone come measure our house again, they never ended up showing up so I said forget about it.The communication is not very good and I’m not happy with the level of professionalism.read more

So this is the 2nd house for which I've had Moffatt's do the roof. I have a 100 year old historic home with a tricky ( valleys and flashings)roof line and large porch. Moffatt... successfully completed the roof and took down two old chimnies which were falling apart within 7 days, dispite some very poor weather conditions. So happy with a recent project done by Moffatt Brothers! Our cottage needed some metal roof and eavestrough repairs -... not a big deal, unless you're on an island apparently. I talked to several local roofing contractors who either told us explicitly that they don't work on islands, or who simply never responded. Moffatt Bros on the other hand - wow! Fast response, no issues with island work, super helpful in the estimating and quoting stages, and the work was done when promised at an exceedingly high level of quality. My neighbours recommended Moffatt Bros. when I was looking to replace my roof and I'm so happy they did. The pricing... was very reasonable, so I chose a metal roof, something I never thought I would do. I was scheduled for some time in June/July of this year and was super pleased when the install was done in May. They did everything I asked - from patching my roof before the install, to inspecting my attic. The crew of Roger, Connor, Dawson, Ben and Mike were professional and courteous and got the job done ahead of schedule. In August, I received a call from Reese, the Customer Service Specialist (and aspiring Firefighter) to schedule my new eavestroughing - I tried to explain I had not requested this additional cost, to which she politely responded, "it was part of my contract and I had already paid for it". I was thrilled. I am exceedingly happy with my new roof and eavestrough and wholeheartedly recommend Moffatt Bros.read more

Recommended to me by a gal who cleans gutters- she sees roofs up... and close !As having been an interior designer for over 40 year, I have worked with many contractors and all kinds of trades. My experience with Moffatt Brothers was stellar-from Chris Garrett estimating and Site supervising to the entire crew at removal of the old and installation of the new roof. Everyone was most pleasant, professional, and respectful of us and our property.For the removal, a slide was made out over a bed of special plants. Friendly professional crew of 6 spent 2 days siding to front of 300 sq ft. guest cabin and adding steel roof over... existing shingled roof of same cabin. The quality of the work performed as well as the new look gives peace of mind that the initial investment in the cabin will be preserved for my family's next two generations.Almost 1/2 day was spent getting equipment and materials to the water access only location.Effort also included main cottage roof repair that will enable interior renovation to proceed next year.read more

Just had my roof done by Moffatt Bros. Roofing. I am thoroughly impressed with the job they've done. Had a small hiccup... during the process that was quickly resolved within an hour.The guys that worked on my roof were hard working, polite, and personable. Showed up early and were on the roof within minutes. Seemed non stop.Cleaned up after the job was done as if they were never here. Which was a concern since I have a dog and worried about nails. Not one was found after they left.I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again on any house in the future without hesitation.Thanks Moffatt Bros!!read more

Moffatt Bros were fantastic to deal with. After struggling with other contractors and being incredibly misled by... another contracting company, I contact Moffatt Bros online to assess flashing damage that cause water intake in our home. They responded within half a day, had someone come assess the damage and quoted us for multiple options with very little pressure and just simple pros and cons of each option. They showed up to perform the work in advance of when we expected them and completed the work early because we were expecting rain. They completed the repair for an incredibly fair price and everyone we interacted with were a pleasure. I can't recommend them enough, their professionalism and responsiveness made all the difference after such a terrible experience with another contracting company. Thank you!read more

I ordered a Duradek installation on my less than perfect deck installation (from my new home builder, pls see other... review...) and this company Moffatt, with their excellent sales rep, Chris Garrett, improved it 10 fold... Chris was professional and good in his responsiveness, and his installers were 'men of their words'... As what they promised, they followed thru and this is rare these days it seems. I was impressed to say the least with this Moffatt Brothers crew. They installed all the premium products that were... listed on my new roof proposal with great attention to detail. They protected everything including my driveway and went about their clean-up duties with the same diligence that they performed their installation duties.This crew was professional, courteous and very approachable but what impressed me the most was they worked well as a team. They all new their respective roles. These guys are great! I had tried to arrange a time with the company who had shingled my house to do my new build... garage so they would match. I was given no reply and was hung up on without a word being spoken - call was ended before it even began. I understand people are busy but manners still matter. Enough of them. I was recommended by a friend to check out Moffatt Bros and I am really glad I did. I called and they said no problem just call when the roof is ready. Called when it was ready and they said they could have a team out that Friday. Team showed up early Thurs morning and were done and gone by noon. I was really happy about that because rain was forecast - they beat the rain and avoided the ply on the roof getting wet. They spread tarps on the ground to catch any debris and used a magnetic sweeper to pick up any stray nails leaving the place as if they had never been there. Just a really efficient professional company that like my friends I too will quickly recommend now. Thanks!read more
